III EMLA Women Aviation Leaders – Latin America and Caribbean

CNLE Law will be participating at the  III EMLA-Women Aviation Leaders, Latin America and Caribbean, organized by the International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) (III EMLA Encuentro de Mujeres Líderes en Aviación Latino América y Caribe)

This very Important Event brings together more than  20 organizations around the world, it will be held on February  28th, 2018 in Mexico City.

The event will be atended by our Partner Carolina Ortiz Espinoza as one of the main Panelist, she is a very experienced Aviation Attorney and Expert in the industry.  It will also feature the presence of other personalities and authorities of Mexico as well as other Latin American and Caribbean countries.

The purpose of this forum is to encourage the development of women in the aerospace and aviation industries, and to motivate new generations of women to become part of these industries. The campaign #MujeresEnAviación that is being conducted simultaneously with the event’s campaign is expected to highlight the role of women in leadership positions within the aeronautic industry.

Among the panelists there are representatives of the highest international organizations, such as IAWA, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the National Chamber of Air Transport of Mexico (CANAERO), the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industries (FEMIA), the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO), the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), and the Space Generation Advisory Council. There will also be representatives from the Civil Aviation Authorities of Mexico, Ecuador, Panama and Argentina and from the Mexico City Airport Group.

The airline sector will be represented by Cargolux, Aeroméxico, and American Airlines, and Air France KLMMartinair Cargo. The manufacturer sector will be represented by GE, ATR, Boeing, Bombardier, Airbus, MD Helicopters, and other representatives of the aviation and aerospace industries, such as Aireon, TRU Simulation + Training, SITA, Iridium Communications, CNLE Law, CIMAD/IPADE, Valencia & Sánchez, The University of Querétaro, and Aviatur Colombia.

IAWA recognizes and promotes women’s excellency and leadership in the aviation and aerospace areas through an international network of initiatives for the professional development, and establishment of associations and business opportunities for its members. Additionally, IAWA supports young women in achieving careers related to the aviation and aerospace industries through its scholarship program at prestigious universities around the world, as well as through its mentorship and internship programs in industry related companies.
